Dear Basic Life Support (BLS) instructors
We are pleased to inform you that updated BLS materials that reflect the latest science from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC will be available in Spanish on June 16, 2026.
BLS courses equip healthcare professionals with the critical skills needed to respond confidently in emergencies. Through hands-on training, learners quickly recognize life-threatening conditions, develop the ability to deliver high-quality CPR, provide effective ventilations, and use an AED promptly—helping improve survival outcomes when every second counts.
Starting June 16, 2026, all Training Centers must use and purchase 2025 Spanish BLS materials only. Unused 2020 Spanish BLS inventory will automatically transfer to 2025 Spanish BLS.
A print version of the Spanish BLS provider manual is expected to become available late summer. Please stay tuned for more information in upcoming communications.
Important Compliance Reminders
As of June 16, 2026, the 2020 versions of Spanish BLS products will not be available for purchase. TCCs should only purchase the 2025 versions.
All TCCs can access paper exams, interim materials, and Instructor Resources on atlas.heart.org.
All Heart Association Instructors are required to have their own current Instructor manual, provider manual, or student workbook. The TCCs must ensure that each Instructor uses the appropriate course video for each discipline they teach.
