Course Purpose The purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course. Course Objectives It is your responsibility as an instructor trainer to see that instructor candidates meet the objectives listed at the beginning of each lesson in the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Trainer’s Guide. The following are high-level program objectives. After completing this instructor course, instructor candidates will be able to: ■ Exhibit the characteristics required of an American Red Cross representative and role model. ■ Identify key responsibilities of American Red Cross-certified CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers instructors. ■ Conduct the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course in a manner that helps participants to stay engaged in the learning process and meet course objectives. ■ Describe the purpose of, and training foundations for, the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course. ■ Describe the core competencies that form the basis for the curriculum of American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course. ■ Describe the process used to ensure that the content of American Red Cross training courses is grounded in science. ■ Identify the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course benchmarks for professional rescuers and facilities. ■ Describe how the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course materials are used by instructors and participants. ■ Effectively plan, schedule and prepare to teach the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course. ■ Use various teaching methods to effectively deliver the course content. ■ Follow the lesson plans and outlines in the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor’s Manual to deliver high-quality standardized training. Section A I Chapter 1 I CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Course Overview 3 ■ Effectively run skill practice sessions, skill drills, putting it all together activities and multiple-rescuer team response scenarios. ■ Monitor participants’ skill practice, assess performance, and provide positive and corrective feedback. ■ Effectively evaluate participant performance during the final skill assessment (testing scenario). ■ Describe how to locate instructor resources and use essential administrative function

If requested within 24 hrs of booking there is NO FEE. If request after 24hrs of booking & 24hrs from start time of course the reschedule fee is $50. No show-we will NOT refund nor reschedule no shows and/or contact made withing 24 hrs prior to start time of course.
