Criteria for Instructor Renewal Eligibility
● Instructors MUST have taught at least FOUR courses in the last 2 years AND be monitored teaching OR attend an instructor renewal course.
● These courses MUST be for each discipline they are renewing.
● For BLS, if they are teaching a Heartsaver course, the classes they have taught will count towards their renewal as long as 1 of those 4 classes is a BLS course, otherwise, they will renew as an Heartsaver Instructor.
● Instructors who are renewing must demonstrate their skills AND complete the written provider exam and written instructor exam as a part of their renewing requirements.
Must have current provider card- can purchase one at time of recertification.
